2015 Texas Summer Bike Rallies & Races
Cycling is more than just a hobby; it is a passion that has created an amazing community. Many Texans gather together to ride all over this great state. We have some amazing landscape that is best seen while on a Texas bike ride. Cyclist at Law has gathered some information about Texas bike rides and rallies for the upcoming summer and fall seasons.
DFW Tour de Cure
Date: June 20, 2015
Registration Fee: $25 (With fundraising minimum of $200)
Route Distance: 5, 15, 32, 62, 100 miles
Location: 3545 Lone Star Circle, Texas Motor Speedway
About: The Tour de Cure is a cycling event that invites all levels of cyclists to raise money to stop diabetes. Proceeds to directly to diabetes research, education, and advocacy in support of the American Diabetes Association.
2015 Hotter’N Hell Hundred
Date: August 29, 2015
Registration Fee: $30
Route Distance: 100 miles
Location: Wichita Falls, TX
About: One of the oldest and largest cycling events in the United States. The race is known to be difficult due to the hot TX weather and long inclines. If you are ready for a challenging Texas bike ride, sign up today!
Take on the Heat Triathlon
Date: August 23, 2015
Registration Fee: $69-$99 Before July 19th
Route Distance: 350m Swim, 9 mile Bike, 5k Run
Location: Lewisville ISD Aquatic Center, The Colony, TX
About: This is a great sprint triathlon for those starting out or looking for a great quick run through. There is a special challenge to first responders with special awards given. Group training is offered prior in an 8-week program!
